What over the counter skin cleansers/lotions should I use on my face? I have horrible break-outs?
I have tried everything–noxzema, dove cleansing foam/poads, clean & clear, etc. i have tried both the facial cleansers and the acne-reducing lotions. These products dry out my skin and it seems like my break-outs get worst! I am never without bumps on my face.
Which over-the-counter acne products will help my troubled skin?
i can relate, like you i try EVERYTHING!!!!.. Proactive, Acne free, clean and clean, some pills for breakouts, all sorts of creams and face wash products… u name it, but nothing really seem to work. what i recommned is eat alot of fruits (apples help alot)… and drink tons of water, this helps your body get rid of the toxics in your body.. basicly just watch what you. This is working for me, maybe it would work for…

the ingredient in any of the "foaming" cleansers can cause a contact dermatitis & cause bumps all over your face. i would suggest 2 products: 1) cetaphil cleanser- non-soap cleanser that has no fragrances & will not break you out.
2) a salicylic acid wash (ask your pharmacist to order some if you don’t see any on the shelf.) SAL-AC is one brand.
use the cetaphil in the morning & the sal-ac in the evening. if your face dries out, use cetaphil lotion to moisturize. again, it is non-comedogenic (won’t break your face out.)
your skin will take a few weeks to improve using this routine. if it is not clearing to your satisfaction, i would make an appt w/ a dermatologist.
